Hic Non Est, From Scenes and Scenery of the Holy Land, A Film installation made in collaboration with sound composer Andrew Stuart-Buttle is opening this Friday 24Oct till 26 October 2014 at Community Arts Centre . Exhibition curated by Jenny Milarski. Moving Image artist James Alexander Johnson who travelled to Palestine with me has been invited to screen his work Impenetrable Thicket made especially for this occasion.

Vamos a ir conociendo también a los artistas que complementarán la música con sus visuales. Nazaré Soares deleitará nuestros ojos mientras suena la música de Galgo. Aquí la teneis:

Nazaré Soares explora los vínculos entre el chamanismo y el cine experimental; la relación entre memoria y tiempo son algunos conceptos investigados en su obra. A traves de la repetición crea un diálogo entre el significado y la temporalidad de la imagen, evocando así fragmentación dentro de la natural ruptura de eventos e identidades. En sus últimos proyectos este enfoque técnico abarca conceptos sobre repetición y percepción de la historia a traves de profundas capas.

Nazaré Soares (Madrid 1981) vive actualmente en Reino Unido, su trabajo ha sido mostrado recientemente en Cine City Festival en diciembre 2012, Brighton Photo Fringe en octubre 2010 y 2012, East London Photography Festival en octubre 2010 y Futuro Short Festival en diciembre 2009. En junio de 2010 fue una de las ganadoras del certamen fotográfico organizado por Magnum e Ideas Tap.
