Photo: Silent Noon, 2019 by Hannah Mjølsnes and Amalia Fonfara

We are very happy to announce Invisibledrum Art Platforms’ very first nordic and international gathering: Symposium of Spiritual Technologies within Creative Practices, from the 4.-6.th of February 2020 at Rosendal Teater in Trondheim!

The topic of the symposium brings together artists, researchers and other practitioners working with embodied practices, to discuss how the notion of spiritual technologies relate to and inform their work and research. We wish to structure connection and collaboration in non-hierarchical ways, where everyone can find unity and exchange regardless of professional or academic background, but rather with a common interest in ecology, holistic thinking, and creative practices.

The symposium holds a vivid and interesting program of national and international artists, researchers and practitioners sharing their work and practice in relation to spiritual technologies.
In a free day time prg. There will be presentations, creative circles, performance lectures, workshops and talks by members of the platform. In the evening, there is an exciting program of ceremonies, performance rituals, and screenings.

(2,2) 0 – Sonic Architecture of the Inner Space is back in Trondheim under the umbrella of Hendelser på Nyhavna 2018 7th – 10th June.

Opening: 7th of June at 17h.

(2,2) 0 – DORA is located at the Norwegian National Archives building Dora 1, entrance B. ( 2,2) 0 – Sonic Architecture of the Inner Space is an interactive spatial sound composition in a completely black space, accompanied by a film installation and a durational performance. A navigation into a psychoacoustic space exploring the inner through spatial embodiment.

(2,2) 0 – DORA 2018 version is created within the historical context of 2WW german U-Boats base in Trondheim, the largest naval base in North Europe, started in 1941 but remained unfinished. Being known how the environmental impact Dora Naval Base had onto Trondheim harbour and surrounding, (2,2) 0 – DORA focus on the earth materials affected by such construction process and how those are currently expressed on Trondheim environmental, historical and cultural context. During the construction period, a considerable amount of alien material was imported to Norway for building the base, being that local soil and native material was incompatible to engineering planning, Dora was never approved by geologist professionals at that time. Thus (2,2) 0 – DORA is created as a gesture for allowing to released geological and historical trauma via poetical invocation. By using sonic references of echolocation, navigation and sea life aural qualities, (2,2) 0 – DORA seeks to connect the 4 historical naval base surveillance locations within Trondheim Fjord; Agdenes Fyrstasjon, Hysnes Fort, Brettingen Fort and Dora.
(2,2) 0 – Sonic Architecture of the Inner Space has been shown at ArtScience Museum in Singapore June 2017 and at Lademoen Kunstnerverksted and Trondheim Kunstmuseum in May 2017.
The work is created and produced by artists Amalia Fonfara, Nazare Soares and Øystein Kjørstad Fjeldbo. Sponsored by NBK – Norske Billedkunstnere.

( 2,2 ) o at Technoshamanism – rethink ancestrality and technology, Dome of Visions, Aarhus. 12 August 2017

( 2,2 ) 0 is  taking part in a day seminar on Technoshamanism in Aarhus, Denmark , on the 12th August – rethink ancestrality and technology. Amalia Fonfara will talk about ( 2,2 ) 0 and we will give a workshop on methodologies and techniques applied in the production of the invisible drum.

Technoshamanism in Aarhus – rethink ancestrality and technology

On August 12, 2017 from 14:00 to 22:00 there will be a technoshamanism meeting in Dome of Visions, Aarhus.

The purpose of the meeting is to unite people who are interested in the combination of DIY technologies such as free software and permaculture with ancestral, ancestorfuturist and shamanistic practices. We are calling all the cyborgs, witches, heretics, technoshamans, programmers, hackers, artists, alchemists, thinkers and everyone who might be curious to join us and explore the possiblities of combining ancestral and indigenous worldviews with the looming disasters of the anthropocene.

If you feel attracted by the combination of these terms, techno + shamanism and ancestrality + futurism and if you’re worried about the destruction of the Earth and the hegemony of capital and neoliberal ontologies, this event is for you. In view of Aarhus’ slogan as European Cultural Capital of 2017, the theme of this event could be: Rethink ancestrality and technology!
